B Sample Urine Drug Test (Independent Laboratory Analysis)

From £118.80

Fast, defensible B sample urine analysis for workplace drug testing, delivered by the UK’s fastest UKAS accredited workplace drug testing laboratory. We offer same‑day LC‑MS/MS confirmations for urine, with full EWDTS compliance and end‑to‑end chain of custody.

If you have already been tested by another laboratory and are looking to protect your rights, we can test your secondary B sample to provide independant results. This will determine if the results are consistent or not consistent with the A sample laboratory. The laboratory test is evidential and we handle the collection of the sample, making the process simple and managed on your behalf.

  • EWDTS guideline compliant with full chain of custody.
  • RISQS approved supplier (ID 9895) with proven delivery to Network Rail standards.
  • Trusted across high‑risk sectors: rail (RISQS), construction, energy, manufacturing, transport and logistics, local government, healthcare and HM Armed Forces (including the Army and Navy).
  • Medical Review Officers available on request for rapid clinical review (typically within 48 hours, subject to donor availability).
  • Nationwide collections, secure logistics and managed release of B samples from the original testing laboratory.

What is a B sample urine test?

In workplace drug testing, split specimens are collected to allow an independent re‑test. The A sample is tested initially, but in the event of dispute / appeal, the B sample is available for testing. If the original A sample result is challenged, the B sample will have remained sealed under controlled conditions and can be released to an independent UKAS accredited laboratory for verification.

A properly managed B sample analysis:

  • Confirms or refutes the A sample finding using an independent workflow and instrumentation.
  • Preserves fairness for donors and assurance for employers.
  • Supports internal HR processes, union engagements, disciplinary hearings and, where relevant, tribunal or court proceedings.

Who uses our B sample urine testing / confirmation services?

  • Employees / private individuals who wish to dispute a workplace drug test result.
  • Safety‑critical industries (rail/transport, utilities, construction, offshore, aviation, highway maintenance, traffic management, manufacturing and more).
  • Large multi‑site employers with workplace drug testing policies.
  • Occupational health providers.
  • Public sector organisations.
  • HM Armed Forces and associated contractors.
  • Legal representatives supporting employment disputes.
